Slavers to go hungry!

Kadiara Jewell, the baker of Ireem, was accosted today while on a delivery just outside of the city. Though she was mercilessly attacked, she managed to make her way back to safety as fast as her slippered feet could carry her.

Nonetheless, the small woman is indignant at the attack upon her person. Until further notice, slavers are banned from purchasing any of her wares. "I don't care how hungry they look - I won't sell to them until this wrong is addressed!" she was heard to say. "No baklava, no sweetmeats, no pies, no pitas... Nothing!"

And this may be the first step in Merchant reaction to the violence directed at them personally and disrupting business in the City. This brave little lady may have the right idea... deny service to all groups that fail to control their violent members. Some of us have welcomed all groups without discrimination, but refused services only to individual offenders. That has not been effective in deterring attacks and incessant fighting in the streets.

We understand that preds and warriors are destined to fight and they can continue to do so with one another in areas designed for fighting. But future unprovoked attacks on citizens, and fighting in the shops and streets in the city may result in more forceful collective response by merchants and citizens. Not a threat, just an exasperated delayed reaction.

Obviously the increased violence by the slavers has now moved beyond just the poor slaves in the desert and the knights sworn to protect them. The knight and city guards will have to band together and put this threat to city peace down
