WARNING!

NO MORE BACK FROM THE DEAD!

BEWARE all those joining the undead (voluntarily or involuntarily) soon there may be no turning back!

Having been attacked and defeated by Aizen the undead I knew it was only a matter of time before I was to be sacrificed and made a zombie myself. Not wanting to leave the Bedouin (or the living for that matter) I turned to the kingdoms healer - Kerrina. Thankfully she equipped me with an Elixir Vial which would save me from being forever bound to the underworld.

However on hearing this news a now enraged Aizen leashed and dragged me into the catacombs. He strapped me to a tomb before proceeding to hack into my leg with a sharp blade. He is planning to use my now immune blood to begin creating an antidote. This will make it impossible for anyone (including the magi) to resurrect the dead.

*looks around worriedly*

I'm not going back EVER! No one can make me! Not even that dreadful Undead Arian who seems set on turning me back.

Keep yourselves safe this could be a devastating turnout if the Undead Aizen can actually create something so potent to outweigh Magi healings.

Claims that something has been developed to stop the undead returning to the world of the living do not mean that it is true.
Anyone with a product to promote can make exaggerated claims for its effectiveness.
It is called advertising!

it's actually impossible to keep anyone from becoming undead indefinitely. The virus that currently causes reanimation undergoes mutation just like any other virus, the common cure for viruses is a weakened version, which actually infects a small portion of those who take it. And that serum only protects against the one strain. Each mutation would require another serum to be administered. Just like you can get a cold year after year, even taking anti cold medicines, so too can reanimation circumvent current preventative techniques. *sadly realizes that humans don't know about viruses yet and so probably won't understand her explanation*

...continued...

Of course what people don't realize is that you can't actually remove the disease, barring the use of necromancy a human cannot return from being dead. A best case scenario from one not able to destroy the infection itself is to force it into dormancy. Unfortunately without the ability to reanimate ones body, death resumes it's natural course. One of the problems with human sorcery is the illusion that it must maintain. Lacking the more powerful ancient magiks shortcuts must often be found. It is a problem that human magi have struggled with since they lost the ability to control pure magik.
