Rumors and Innuendo

Is it true? Are the knights now leashing prey to keep them safe from being 'enslaved?" Does this not make the Knights slavers? Many have come to me lately with stories of this, seeing prey at the end of the Knights whim, maybe the Knights have decided they want to be predators as well, what will this do to our safety? Sure, they can buy us on the auction block..but is it not their duty to then release us and give them...work to do? I thought ...but I could be wrong...I often am..that Knights fought against slavery..not for it. Comments?

Also, it's been heard that a Bedouin was seen streaking the sands and terrorizing the young prey! Article soon to come!

It doesn't suprise me that the knights would stoop to this. They've been quietly keeping slaves for some time. They just seem to be growing less subtle.

Do you have proof of us quietly keeping slaves for our own purposes? In which way have we stooped? If a prey asks for a knight to kepp her for their very own protection and we do it, how is that stooping low?

I was a knight myself. I saw it happen with my own eyes. Knights buying slaves at auction not to release them but to carry them off, higher ranking knights scolding me for criticizing the practice of knights keeping slaves. I'd be more surprised if this wasn't happening.

Kalani, when they are kept for their own protection. Does that mean they have to be leashed, like I saw with my own eyes? If they so desperately want that protection then I doubt they will run away. That knight was telling her, not asking, like a slaver, exactly what to do and what not. When we wanted to ask her why, she told us: "I am ordered not to talk"

I haven't seen any of what either of you are speaking of and won't believe it unless I see it with my own eyes.

Sadly, I witnessed the comment from the Knight to the girl.

Kalani,
That you are one of the few honourable ones does not mean you should close your eyes for some of your corrupt brothers.

The knights have become little more than a gang of thugs, doing the work of the slavers for them. I feel sorry for those few honorable knights who remain. I urge you to abandon the order, as I have. It has most certainly abandoned you.

I wouldn't close my eyes. I simply said that unless I see it, I don't believe it. Or unless there's proof otherwise. Hope you'd do the same for yours. Innocent until PROVEN guilty.

Well... As I personaly witnessed it, it is proof enough for me. I think I can get someone else that was with me that witnessed it too. Would that be proof enough for you or do you only believe your own eyes?

So long as we have a conversation in private and it doesn't end up in the newspaper the next morning whatever was said. I'd definitely listen to what you have to say.

well damn it, how can I keep a paper going if all are afraid to be in it!

That a knight or a citizen can own a slave is in fact proper. It would be highly improper for a knight at least to hold a slave under anything short of honorable terms is wrong. I also find that having baseless rumors flying about is the no benefit to anyone. If someone sees something like this and has actual proof (dear Gwendoline)come forward and provide this to one of the knights and if appropriate something can be done instead of maligning all knights in general.
