Madcap Magi!

Notice to the Citizens of Ireem from the Madcap Magi:

You may have seen some odd activities and strange comings and goings around the Magi Tower recently. We would like to explain.

You may see a mage wandering about, babbling incoherently. If you find our dear sister Tenzing in this state, please return her to the Magi Tower, or alert another mage.

She has been travelling to far reaches of the world, studying strange things. Her experiences appear to have affected her in unexpected ways. We are hoping that this strange new knowledge can be properly assimilated, making her one of the most powerful mages Ireem has ever known.

To complete this process, she will need plenty of quiet meditation and rest. If you seek her in the tower, and she is lost in thought, please do not be offended or impatient. If we are all kind and gentle with her now, Ireem as a whole will certainly benefit later.

If you should find her elsewhere lost in thought, we implore you to not take advantage of her mindless state. Rather than attacking her, please alert another mage so we may guard our sister and bring her home to safety.

You may also be wondering about Anneliese the Mage, formerly known as Anneliese the Undead.

Anneliese is Undead no more. There is no need to yell at her to return to her hole, complain of her smell, call her a zombie, or attack her on sight any longer.

We believed, and even hoped, that when Anneliese knelt before the Sultana, called to account for the heinous crime of attempting to kidnap the royal personage, that she would come away with one less head.

However, her Great and Exalted Most Highness looked down upon the succubus mother with pity and compassion. In the spirit of great benevolence and infinite wisdom (which we would not begin to question, and we hope you do not, either, for that would be treason) she ordered Anneliese's transformation and entry into the ranks of the Magi.

Sir Lancelot locked the creature in a magical cage, where she spent an entire night and by morning the transformation was complete. She is now human, and we all hope will be a proper mother to her infants, if anyone can get them away from the Undead zombies who refuse to give them up.

Anneliese now resides with us, in the Magi Tower, with plenty of paper and quills and ink. With such weapons her disposal she speaks of retiring from swordplay except in matters of self defense.

At this time, we of the Madcap Magi wish to offer our services to the people in and around Ireem: citizens, predators, prey, and knights alike.

We offer potions, spells, fortune telling, and advices to all who seek such.

If you need assistance in hatching a proper plan of any sort -- good, or bad -- we are at your disposal. With proper spells, potions, fortune telling, and simple or complex manipulation, even your greatest enemies may be brought down.

We are most interested currently in seeing Anneliese employed. We are hoping that the proper use of her abilities by helping other people create mayhem will keep such trouble far from our own hallowed halls.

We beg you all to take pity on us and find her something to do.

Payment and other terms for services are on a sliding scale, with a heavy discount given to any slaves or other prey.

will certainly watch for a wandering Tenzing in the City, and safeguard her so she can be returned to the Tower. Also blessings on Anneliese for her change of heart and affiliating. She is to be commended for her conversion, the Magi, for accepting her and the Sultana for her mercy. And now we have one less undead to deal with.
