The Chronicles reports that a shameful knight was found guilty by the court of attacking our Harem Valide
The knight in question, Darth One-eye aka Jeb (Witchfire Breed), was found guilty earlier this week by our court of using black magic to hypnotise our Harem Valide and then attempt to attack her.
The incident occurred few weeks ago in the palace where Jeb went into the Harem under the pretence of palace business. Once he gained entry into the harem, he performed his black art and hypnotise the Valide and attacked her. Fortunately the attack was soon distribute by other palace member who arrived at the scene. Trying to cover up his track, the shameful and vile knight fed the Valide with some strange potion in order to cloud her memory. But, with the help of the magi in the tower, our Valide recovered and reported the incident to the knight.
While we are unable to get a hold of the Knight's spokeperson as to whether Jeb will be relieve from his duty, the Chronicles would like to warn all the citizen, especially women to be careful of this knight. He wears a distinctive eye patch and his red eye is believed to have power to hypnotise people. Lady Raven of the Magi Tower is offering any women free help and advice to guard themselves against such despicable spell.

Im getting tired of the MISINFORMAtion being delivered by the chronicles and the ooc issies its causing . unless you say who is feedin this information to you . this is the second story that has impact on players that not only is incorrect but is still under investigation.

Also ther was NO effort made to contact the Knights for coment on this . If ther had been we would have made a stament on the matter.

( Alright I don't usually comment on the story but I will make an exception this time. The story was rp already as far as between myself and Seren. I helped Seren to recovered the memory of the attack and direct her to report the crime. The case was close and the defendent found guilty. As far as I am concern this is good enough to report the story. Everything that was reported in the story was rp out in the sim, including the attack itself. I wouldn't mind if you would pointed out exactly where the misinformation is in the story before making an accusation)
As for the no effort part to contact the knight. Well I did contact Avery and she didn't object.

And anyway, why should there even be an ooc issue? The incident did happen as I have chatlog to prove it, so it wasn't like it was a story that was totally made up. I personally involve in the second part of the story, along with others like yayoo, falcon and avery, so again it wasn't like i just heard the story from third party. Finally, the knight in question was found guilty by the court for the crime. So why should there be any ooc issue?

The Chronicles was always an IC newspaper, supposed to get peoples names in, be fun and stirr some roleplay.
We often made up stories or parts of stories, just to make it funny or bring some IC trouble for the different players involved. Main goal: FUN !
Reading this discussion here makes me sad. I dont understand, why people get frustrated OOCly. This is a game, the character you play is not you. Ergo, all the bad mouthing, threatening, wrong telling, misinformations etc. shouldnt make you bitter and angry.
It should make you laugh, make you want to roleplay the consequences or even make you write a counterstatement !
If you start to take it personal, then you should consider taking a break. Cuz I am pretty sure, NO ONE's goal is it, to make your game miserable.
So relax people, play the GAME and enjoy it ! If you dont enjoy it, find something new! And enough of this OOC writing now, the paper is IC ! *waves and disappears into the darkness again*

I agreed with Dinky and I think it's good that Chronicles is not a "perfect" paper. I have heard some players in OOC bitching about how the paper is making them look bad, even though they were the one who committed the crimes in the first place! I say if you don't want to look bad, don't commit the crime!
