Wounded and Taken Care of: A chat with Yayoo

I was again wounded by some wild pirates and had to go to the hospital. I felt weak and stumbled closer to the healing bed. Suddenly I hear a friendly voice behind me, telling me he can give me bandage and help, I turned around and saw The noble Prince Yayoo sitting on a pillow in the corner of the hospital. He was calm and gave me a really good bandage. Since I still had to heal a bit I thought this was a perfect time to interview the noble.

- I had no knowledge of how to title a prince so I said carefully: "Sir Prince: How can you describe the palace, the power balance and how it effects people out there? I m thinking about the democracy or steering system"

Yayoo Pralou reflects on this question, for quite some time. I see he is thinking deep
 - "Very interesting question that does come to what the essence of the palace has been through the teachings of the Sultana who was the example of true nobility and grace, and who by example inspired so many here by her wisdom's and noble virtues and also who brought civility and good manners to Ireem.

- Nods, I haven't met the Sultana Zanlu yet but Im sure she is marvelous. But are there attacks on the palace? Maybe people that thinks something is unfair?

I see the Prince lifts his eyebrows and nods, the answer comes quick
- Yes there are attacks on the Palace. Damien and Davey (undeads) have often declared war on Palace and lately also Kaos ( a pirate) has been working with Damien to capture people. To understand their reasons for the attacks it would be better if  you ask them.  From my dealings with pirates, they seem to have a heartless greed for acquiring gold without concern for the damage and horrors they inflicts on others in their lust for power and gold.  I feel it is our task in Palace to help to keep the teachings of our beloved Sultana alive to help keep those greedy power hungry beasts and demons who dwell in the beings of Ireemians from causing havok in Ireem

I nod,agreeing, as I heard this.
- "I have been witnessing some very odd and after many peoples meaning, totally meaningless attacks".

I take a small break and sips some coffee the prince had offered me. Thinking a bit before I serve the next question. I'm thinking about what others said about the palace.
Like the pirate named Mebo who said:
- "the palace is a nice hiding place, and has great guards .."

And the noble man  Xenofon that previously was a palace guard that said:
"The palace is quiet, for the most part we stay seperate from the scuffles of the city. It is not the place to go for adventure, if that is what you seek"

I look at the Prince Yayoo and ask him more:
-"But you have guards and knights. They are directly controlled by nobles and Sultana Zanlu I assume? So if someone declears a warlike behavior at the palace,  you can join the forces together and fight back for balance and teaching?"

After a thoughtfull moment the Prince sips a little coffee and starts to answer

- "... well the attacks from undeads  can be very difficult to understand the motive of - some has even turned in to a deeper form of evil lately - which is beyond reason . .. well yes we have alert and devoted Palace Guards to protect us as they can in the Palace IF the nobles are alert to dangers. However those who wish to cause trouble are very clever and have many techniques for luring Nobles out of Palace to capture them and also use potions and spells if they can't get a Noble out and away from the Guards. Fortunately we have the help of the Knights and Magi and Priests and Bedouins  and Citizens and the Merfolk to help counter and balance these evil forces in Ireem
Most people prefer to live in peace and harmony and not have to be so fearful of attack - so that the shops and business owners and residents can have some sense of security"

I see the answer is done with passion and thoughts. The Prince is concerned and surely concerned about how things are in the city and outside. I take another sip of coffee. looking around at the gold table, the fine pillows and a big board of wise words that the  Prince shows to people that comes to him with questions about life. I ask him

- "Has it always been like this? That its especially pirates and undeads that attacks the palace and noble people?

- "Well yes mostly it has been like this  but also the Dark Knights sometimes have caused problems for Palace folk,  Fortunately we have the help of the Chivalric Legion of Knights and Magi and Ragnar and Folie’s Priests and the Djinns Elementals Clan lead by Mystry and the many good Bedouin Clans and Citizens and the Merfolk to help counter and balance these evil forces in Ireem.

I see the Prince gets a slightly dreamy look in his face. He dreams about good safe times, good deference and I'm sure he like things to be fair.
I suggest a slogan for Ireem to him: " More normal, more fairness"
He nods and smiles, liking my slogan.

I thank him for 12 cups of good coffee and raise my now sleeping but up from the soft golden pillow,  then nod to him, telling him how I appreciate to get to know how the nobles and palace thinks about how it is and how it should be around us.

Gently rubbing my butt I go out to see he view of fighting people, hard working people, and people that wants to be joined in small groups of friends for company and fun. Nods to myself. yes, this is life, just as usual.

I snuck up to the mer caves, a bit nervous, but also excited. The merfolk live by some very nice big built caves with decorations that can make you gasp. Its the seas brightest art. As I approached I heard voices and saw some movements of two mermaids a bit away from me. But being so focused on that pretty sight, I lost balance and stepped with one foot out into the sea. And that was not a lucky thing, my toe got a big cut from a seashell there. I still wouldn't let that stop me from talking to these nice mers. The weird part was that they had a human beside them with his hands in the air, locked in a plank. It was a huge, and strong looking man. This convinces me that these mermaids weren't just pretty, they are strong too.

I saw them loosing the guy from the plank and they sent him off. They greeted me nicely and as planned I could start asking them questions right away. Of course I started with the difficult ones

- What do you feel is good about being a mer? And what is bad for you?
- oh my... what a question.... let me think, if you see smoke put my head in the water" chuckles the lovely mer named Indigo and waves her fingers softly in the air.

- "Oh I'm prepared to soak your head", says the other mer named Siya, and giggles softly.

Indigo smiles and gives me more information - "well... good... let me think... Mer are intelligent, curious, playful... and tied to one of the most beautiful things in the world, the water" then she gets a bit serious looking and says;
"the bad... well the water pulls us so much that we cannot stay on land much, the ocean is so big, it can get lonely when you loose your family in a current"

- "I  like being a mer for the fact that they stay together and always treat each other with respect , never let the other one down, and always there when needed like true family, ... about bad things .... ummm there i have to really think.. i would say i have to agree with indi on that one"
says the nodding Siya and looking at Indigo

I look at the two beauties and think a bit while trying to remember my next question, Suddenly it comes to my mind. Siya looks worried at me and I think she might wonder if I will almost fall into the sea. She looks at my hurt toe and assures me that it will be well very soon.

- "But can you tell me something about the caves? Are there spirits or anything special going on in the caves? Are there someone living there to protect you?"
- "We have many spirits, the one leggers know best is Oceanus, or Neptune/Poseidon, he is the orchestrator of the tides, waves, the world... As for the caves... we must protect ourselves but the water an the beauty of the place renews us" then lowers her voice "

At one point there was an enchantment that no legger could enter or suffer a terrible watery death" grins "But that power has faded". Indigos face looks very dreamy and its seems like she is admiring the things she speaks of while she says this.

She shows me a bit around in the caves, then take me out on a little swim-round. I dive a bit, I see mermaids down there in the sea, and treasures and so many of the fantastic creatures the natures has put in the sea. Visible for the ones who care about life and beauty.

I leave the place with lots of gratitude for the warm welcome and the warm goodbye. "Remember, we are a strong family here, even if it's not so big" Indigo says while waving farewell.

" I wonder who is the parents" says the beautiful, goodhearted pirate lady, holding and nuzzling the baby.

When asked where she found it she answers:
"Well I was given the baby from a poor slave girl named Yumaana. She didn't say much, just that she found it near the river. But it was natural for me to just take care of it as it was given to me. Im a bonusmum now"

She also said she has been given it a name, Aiden the poop.  "I was thinking about naming it "lill stinky kido" but dint" she says.

- But seriously. would you really give the baby away if you see some very bad parents trying to claim it, saying its theirs? How do you think you will react and look at the situation?

- "No of course I wont give Aiden away just like that. I think I will fight for him. Or maybe sell to the highest prize. But I dont think non in kos has so much Gold"

- But if the parents reports themselves and will give you a reward for it and you believe them, then its ok?
- "Yes of course I have to give him away ...yes my heart will break ...but I cant do anything,  Aiden doesnt belong to me" she answers with a bit wet eyes. Maybe an upcoming tear

She shakes the baby smoothly and starts walking to the city, hoping the baby wont be frightend by the fighting and shouting there. I wave to her as she leaves and of course I feel its a nice view to see a lady with a baby.

Surprise Feast

We had a surprise Feast yesterday attended by: Aliciasienna, Atei Toki, IrisNagini, NickSegundus, Faith280, Smooth Citron, jayemdee, Prue Coronet, Katrina Hernandoz and YaYoo
 --  originally to celebrate the return of Iris & NickSegundus (Luke) who is a good & dedicated Knight.

 It started with Luke (NickSegundus) coming into Arabesque,  where YaYoo was watching Alice perform her dances on stage. Luke has just returned from a long absence & is a friend to me & a Knight & protector of Ireem.

Then we overheard Atei & Iris nearby.  I know that Iris also had long been away, so I suggested we have a celebration feast in their honor.

I then ran quickly back to Palace for the staff & chefs to prepare a feast for 10 guests.
Considering the short notice, they made a magnificent effort & the preparations were carefully & skillfully done making for a very beautiful table presentation when the guests began arriving.
Alice began entertaining us all, while the staff were very excitedly attentive, feeling the festive mood of this spontaneous event, they took very good care of every need of the guests who sat in lively conversation while enjoying the delicious display of the finest that Ireem merchants provide to the table of the Palace.

We celebrated so much, Iris returning, Luke's returning, the life of us all we share, the blessings of this good nourishing food that sustains us, our endearing friendships... is so much... and the growing of new friendships here now ... to celebrate each moment of life we live.

 We are so blessed to have this fine palace, chefs, and all - for us to enjoy, to have Alice dance for us, and for us being together in this amazing universe of possibilities & dreams...
 Katrina (Aaliyah) completed the entertainment with her voluptuous dance on the table as we enjoyed desert.

We parted well fed and nourished by the meeting of minds.

Hello let me  introduce myself.  I'm  Kev Vyper and I would like to take this time to let everyone know why I want to be Pirate Race  Leader

    When I first arrived in Ireem, I joined as a Pirate, and stayed so until I took a break away for personal reasons. When I returned I tried other races but was drawn back to my roots as a pirate.

    I have been a clan leader in a few races in Ireem, mostly to help others get started with clans. Once they felt established I would pass the clans over to them, for example the Shadow Priests.

    I am currently the leader of the clan Sea Witch  My co leader is Kaya Blinker, Together we started this clan and with the help of a few others pulled together a strong  crew . We have grown to be one of the most active clans in Ireem, and on KOS ranking in the top 3 for activity for the last 10 weeks many of the weeks until recently ranking 1st. Within the Sea Witch we have many rankings letting members grow and develop .

    I feel the Pirates stand in a position to be the strongest race in Ireem with no needs for alliances if all pirates can pull together and work to help and develop new members. The new pirate race should be strong with many rankings from the strongest fighters and captains to the slaves who help to keep the camp running. Each pirate should have a role they can work with for the good of the race and other pirates.

  Once we have all pirates working together, then defending our camp will be as easy as raiding can be with a good raid leader and planning. Volunteers will be needed to help with training and sparring, with healing others before and after raids, teaching new people the basics..ie...working, aging, eating, agility, as well as the different tactics in raiding and defending.  Their is a role and position for everyone and promotions will be given out based on activity and merits. These promotions will be based on the recommendations of the pirate leaders in a council to be established among all of the clans. All leaders will be a part of this council with a vote

    As pirate race leader i would stand to help in all matters passing on my knowledge and skills to others  and skills of others in the race too. The leader is not a figure head to sit back and enjoy the name of the role but an active member of the race and I aim to do this as often as I can.

Dear Bedouin brothers and sisters.

My Reasons for wanting to lead Bedouin are many, when I first came to Ireem my passion was for the Bedu  , although it took me a little time to finally become one and to learn our ways and customs, I have been here every day since helping all new Bedu and old alike

If I become Race Leader I will follow strongly in the steps of other great leaders, Miriam al- Zafirah, Velvet Hamelin and Pan latte. My main aim is simple, to Unite the Bedu race and to be strong as it once was, now is the time for action , for all bedu Clans we need to unite as one  I feel I have experience to do this, in my travels before this land I have done similar roles and feel this will work in my favour to lead the Bedu race and to strike fear in our enemies hearts and minds, I have learn't a lot from Miriam and she has blessed me with her experience as Race leader. I will strive to make sure each clan in Bedu has an equal say , and i will not make any decisions without the input of the Bedu Council which I will set up with all Clan leaders as members.
I will cater for every type of bedu we have, Fighters, Non combatants, Predators and Prey.

if I am elected I will set up Roles of various positions starting with a Bedu Council with all Clan leaders invited to be apart of it.
 I will be seeking skilled people to fill various positions.  Some of those positions will be appointed by me, others democratically elected by The Council of Elders.  Some of the positions created will be:

CO-LEADER  – To share the Leadership duties and responsibilities.

ADVISOR – Will provide honest and constructive advice to the leader on all matters pertaining to the other races.  He/she will be a skilled diplomat and an eloquent orator.

BEDOUIN SCRIBE – Among other duties, the scribe will be responsible for recording and reporting all matters discussed by “The Council of Elders” and significant event.  Any roleplays that clans want to share can be sent to the scribe to circulate.

The scribe will be called upon to record Bedouin Etiquette, Hospitality and History.  Also a scroll will be written to assist new family members better understand their new family as well as the dangers associated with living in a harsh environment.

COMBAT LEADER and COMBAT COUNCIL -   The Combat leader along with his Council will have the responsibility of training all combatants.   Together they will gather intelligence and report to the Council of Elders.  In times of conflict it will fall upon the Leader and Combat Council to provide clear strategy and planning before leading us proudly into battle.


PREY ADVISOR – NON COMBATANTS – The Prey and Non Combatants have long been forgotten and their roles within the family have been largely overlooked.   They have been a constant support to the family by providing food, shields, bandages and vital intelligence.  Their voices will be heard.   They will be invited to stand before the Council of Elders and report on any issues they may have.  I will work closely with them to ensure that activities are regularly staged and they get the recognition they richly deserve.

So Mighty clans of the Bedu:  Simoon, Sharifa, Najdi, Abd-Al-Aziz , Zafirah, and Shammar it is time to unite and become the most feared and respect race in Ireem, elect me and I will make this happen for all of us.

Most of you are probably aware that the priests have suffered loss of reputation and troubles since a band of priests from other lands has descended upon Ireem.

I felt, in the beginning, that since they were here, and wore the cloth, and spoke of piety, that I could advise them in the right way and ensure their actions in our lands brought balance and honor to the Gods. I am sorry to report that they have taken many actions against my advice and without my approval... and even against their own clan rules.

The current leader of this Shadow Priest clan, Gavin (phantomg), has failed to lead his people in any way that I could approve. The Shadow Priests swore a solemn oath to protect ALL priests and priestesses from any harm with their swords, but they have, instead, harmed other priests with their underhanded and sneaky methods. I have continued reports of their refusal to aid priests who are being attacked, as well as numerous reports of dishonorable acts around Ireem with other races.

They are young and rash, and maybe in time they'll find another way, but so far they have only brought shame to the neutral priests, who have worked hard to bring dignity to our temple, and aid to all who require it. We cannot lose our relationship with the many races around Ireem, simply because these young and violent priests cannot control themselves.

I brought a case against Gavin and a few of his followers in particular to the Priest Council, and asked for a vote. The group majority voted to excommunicate Gavin and Lissandra. We take no responsibility for their actions, and offer them no support, as we do not trust they will work for the good of all of Ireem.

As our Priest Council has no control over these combatant priests, I decided to stop diplomatic discussions with other raceleaders about our crystals. Shadow Priests control these raids alone now... it makes no sense to convince other leaders to honor our race and donate crystals to our headquarter.

We ask, therefore, that you continue in your friendship with the rest of us, the Neutral Priests, and realize that any bad actions from these Shadow Priest followers of Gavin are not sanctioned by me. We wash our hands of them entirely, while opening our doors to any priests in his following who wish to find a better way and join the Priest Council in our pursuit of peace and balance.

Thank you all for your patience and for all the past support you have given to us, as well as your willingness to accept our assistance, which has been offered with the best intentions.

We look forward to reestablishing trust in our relationships with the people of Ireem in all the races. If you would like to arrange a Neutral priest delegate to help you in your worship and sacrifices for your Gods, please let either me or Folie Luckstone know, so we can arrange (with your approval of our candidate) the best person for the duties.

A notice from the Priest Council to the peoples and creatures of Ireem and its environs:

The priests are dedicated to promoting balance in these lands. Towards that end goal, we are instituting several plans, which may affect you to one degree or another.

First, we devote ourselves to balance. For without balance, chaos and violence will reign. As priests, we also understand the vital necessity of pleasing all the Gods. If one God feels his/her people are suffering unduly, will (S)He not rain down upon us all manner of horrors in his/her wrath? Of course (S)He will. It's only natural.

It is our duty, therefore, as priests dedicated to pleasing all the Gods and Goddesses, to ensure that no group suffers in want while another has more than they can use. Therefore, we are devoting our more fanatical members to the task of ensuring no one race accumulates more than they need, while other groups starve or otherwise suffer.

To be very safe, if you are informed that your group holds more crystals than it should, turn the excess over to the priests immediately for redistribution. That is the wisest course of action. If you fail to take these important steps, and you see a shadow priest approach with determination in his gaze, the safest answer would be to escort him to your stores and offering him the excess without need of drawn swords. If you fail to do so, do not be surprised if you shall feel the might of his holy steel.

Of course, remember that shadow priests are members of the priesthood. They shall not rape, plunder, or murder (unnecessarily), but will do what they must for the good of us all, though it pains them to have to kill any human or other being. If you see them in a social setting, or shopping in the market, or in any other benevolent endeavor, treat them with the respect and kindness all priests deserve.

The second announcement regards another plan to ensure safety for us all. We are sending delegates to every race in the land, to act as emissaries, to assist in rituals, prayers, ceremonies, and all appeasement of the Gods and Goddesses, and to offer solace and comfort to the members of all races who may need it from time to time. Remember that our goal is balance and neutrality, so they will be utilized in times of violence, or when violence may occur due to imbalances. An emissary shall never, ever carry a weapon to take against your race, if he (or she?) is assigned to you.

These counselors are to be trusted and treated as friends. Do not rape or seduce them - they have important work to do. Keep in mind that they have the ear of the Gods and Goddesses. If you wish your God or Goddess to be kind to you, you will be kind to their representative on land. In other words, do not kill them unless you wish your entire race to be afflicted by pestilence, and try to be welcoming, if you can manage it.

 The House of Pleasures will be run by two beautiful experienced Djinn ladies. We will take care of our Courtesans and assure that they are properly trained for your desires.

 Refunds are allowed only if you are dissatisfied with your purchase of one of the Courtesans as well a valid reason, If you try to get a refund without a valid reason or lie about it, you will be banished from the house.
